Both the Canterbury and Glebe Christmas Craft Fairs were very successful. We did not have all of our products available, but we had a large selection of vehicles. So which were the best sellers?
Stacking toy truck sold out within the first few hours followed by garage sets which included an EMT set of vehicles – fire engine Ambulance and Police car – and a garage set with a working tow truck and 2 cars needing repairs.
Trains were popular as well and the demand was for a train with 3 cars and animals, mostly horses. This was a popular theme including a single piece and 3 car trains.
I typically don’t make larger sized trucks but had made a large Van that I had made for my son eons ago . Since I usually make two or more so I had one available at the Glebe and it sold. I also had made 2 large transport truck with a trailer and sold both.
My Old Fashion cars were popular and good for smaller children as they are easily griped and roll easily. The bus sold well as did the slightly larger ones.
I did discover that any toy that had a moving part such as the firetruck and ladder or the tow truck with a wind up tow rope. Look for more action toys in the future.
