Our wooden toys can be found year round at Ottawa’s Billings Bridge Ottawa Loves Local store. Here you will be able to see and purchase many of our creations without having to travel to my workshop in Alta Vista. Of course you can always contact us to pick up your order here at our workshop.

Not near Ottawa or even Canada? We can ship via Canada Post to Canada and the United States, or other locations. We have instituted a flat rate for Canada and the U.S for small orders. which is calculated upon Checkout.

About Our Toys

Peter’s Wooden Toys is an Ottawa based small business that makes handcrafted simple wooden toys. These toys are not perfect, as each toy is individually made by selecting choice pine, custom shaping each toy and careful sanding by hand. The imperfections arise from the selection of wood, sanding and other factors that contribute to a unique functional toy.

Our toys are generally made of unfinished pine, although we do occasionaly paint the larger toys such as the Garages and Doll House which are more suited to older children. Since unfinished pine has a tendency to soil easily, we now offer food safe beeswax coating on all our wooden toys by default. If you would like to paint the toy then you can specify unfinished toy.

Note: As each toy is custom made and as we produce more toys improvements and variations are made. The images may not always represent the actual article you will recieve. Of course if you are not satisfied or the toy breaks ( after all they are made of wood) we will gladly repair or replace the item.
